For instance, I'd decoupage a metal mailbox with newspaper and decorated it with some unique stamps I had saved from around the world. I then spray all my projects with an acrylic CLEAR spray paint to seal and water proof the mailbox or other outdoor items. I also used newspaper as a background in a scrapbook for my kids. I put a small piece of paper lace over that (centered). Then I clued articles to the background to show off the times my children had their name in the newspaper (usually sport events). There are other events which can be done the same, like a wedding announcement, any family mentions etc. I use decoupage’ to decorate many things with newspaper or old wallpaper designs.
