Book Lamp
This lamp was pretty easy to make. I used:
- A wooden cutting board
- A small lamp and compatible shade
- 3 old books
- A leather belt
- Green Acrylic paint
Here’s what I did:
- 1. Paint the wooden cutting board with the green paint. Let it dry.
- 2. While waiting for that, use a rag and wipe some of the green paint over the base. Don’t paint the whole thing. Just wipe it on.
- 3. Wrap the belt around the three books. If you can’t secure the belt buckle, punch a new hole in the belt so you can. Trim the belt if necessary so that the belt doesn’t look too long.
- 4. Using hot glue, glue the book stack to the cutting board. I glued mine at an angle that overhung the edges of the cutting board.
- Next, using hot glue, glue the bottom of the lamp to the cutting board.
YOU’RE DONE!
